Instead, it focuses on the emotions that McDonald’s evokes, such as hunger, nostalgia, and joy. The campaign has been praised for its creativity and humor, and it has been credited with boosting McDonald’s sales.

This campaign for McDelivery (McDonald’s delivery service) was developed by DDB Prague. The campaign cleverly combines the brand’s signature meals with a pile of dirty dishes to convey the benefit of McDelivery – avoiding the hassle of dirty dishes after a meal. The ads feature stacked kitchenware arranged to resemble iconic McDonald’s products, creating a visually striking and instantly recognisable connection.
These print ads effectively generate intrigue and spread awareness about the convenience of the delivery service. By presenting familiar objects in a new and engaging way, DDB Prague successfully captures attention and communicates the desired message.
This campaign effectively highlights Nissan’s innovative high-beam assistant technology, whilst paying homage to their Japanese origins. Nissan, in collaboration with TBWA, crafted a unique print ad campaign that combines tradition with modern technology. Inspired by Japan’s hand-painted depictions of women’s fans, the campaign showcases ancient ukiyo-e painting style with contemporary scenes. Each ad features a fan with a modern twist, displaying scenes like a man on a Segway or a woman with a traveling suitcase.
By blending tradition and technology, TBWA creates visually captivating ads that resonate with consumers.
This poster by Chanel was created for their Mother’s Day ad for iconic perfume, No. 5. It’s instantly recognisable and emotionally impactful. The ad features a simple drawing of the legendary Chanel No. 5 bottle, as if created by a child’s hand, accompanied by a message of “Happy Mother’s Day.” This clever design appeals to mothers, encouraging them to treat themselves for their hard work and dedication.
The ad’s delightfully messy drawing evokes a sense of warmth and nostalgia, effectively conveying the message that mothers deserve to indulge in life’s little luxuries. Chanel’s in-house team successfully strikes an emotional chord with their target audience.

Pantone’s “Create Your World” campaign aims to unleash people’s creative forces by presenting them with alien worlds and out-of-the-box thinking. The campaign features surreal, otherworldly settings that encourage people to explore different colours and hues. Inspired by fantasy worlds and people’s desire to build their own unique creations, Pantone’s visually compelling ad campaign sparks creativity and individuality.
One standout campaign comes from MMB, a creative agency that partnered with Revolution Cooking to promote their line of R180 smart toasters. The campaign’s print ad features an array of differently burned toasts, arranged according to how well-done they are. The ad cleverly uses colour swatches as inspiration, emphasising the toaster’s ability to make toast exactly how a user likes it. This creative advertisement effectively communicates the selling point: have your toast exactly as you like it. The visually appealing print nature of the ad drives purchase intent in stores and magazines, directing people to the producer’s web store or retail places.
These inspiring marketing campaigns of 2023 demonstrate the power of creativity, innovation, and effective messaging in capturing consumer attention and driving action. From print ads to social media campaigns, these brands have successfully utilised various mediums to engage and connect with their target audiences. By pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box, these campaigns have left a lasting impact and set a high bar for future marketing endeavours.
These campaigns are all unique in their own way, but they all share a common goal: to connect with consumers on an emotional level and to leave a lasting impression.
